This certificate program focuses on the technology of web production. Skills development areas include Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), WYSIWYG web tools, social networking web tools, web image optimization, motion graphics tools, and web application development.
This certificate curriculum includes many of the courses included in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design and credits may be applied toward that degree. CMC also offers a certificate in Graphic Technology .
Students must demonstrate college-level proficiency in composition and reading as prerequisites for courses within this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which you can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. Multimedia Graphic Design (MGD) courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better to move to the next course in sequence or to satisfy graduation requirements. Graduates of this program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Web Technology.

For federal student aid purposes, this program is defined as 21 credit hours, 30 weeks on instruction and is financial aid eligible, pending approval.
