2021-2022 Catalog [ARCHIVED CATALOG]
Education (BA): Early Childhood Education & Elementary Education Dual Licensure
This unique pathway BA pathway includes the core classes, approved by CDE and CDHE for CMC’s Elementary Education endorsement, to combine a very rich and competent experience for students to attain both endorsements. The pathway also includes general education courses to support students in passing the Praxis Tests for both the ECE endorsement and Elementary endorsement. CMC or any other Colorado Community College student attaining an Associates of Arts Degree in ECE have a clear path to begin taking higher-level Elementary Education courses to complete a Bachelors of Arts in Education. Although the BA in Education course plan exceeds the 120 credits necessary, it is because of the dual licensure expectation. However, students completing this pathway could take three additional courses to also attain the Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Education (CLD) endorsement that CMC is already approved for.
