Education: Secondary Education Alternative Certification

An alternative teaching certification pathway for individuals who already have a bachelor degree in a specific content area.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency: Secondary Education Alternative Certification.

The certification is offered at all Colorado Mountain College locations; however, not all courses are offered on every campus, some courses may require technology enabled modalities (Webex, video conferencing).

This certificate program is not eligible for federal student aid funds.

EDU 330 - Framework for Planning Instruction and Assessment 3.0 Credits
EDU 381 - Adapting Instruction and Assessment for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Learners 3.0 Credits
EDU 405 - Creating an Engaging and Relational Classroom Environment 3.0 Credits
EDU 410 - Intervention and Inclusion: Differentiation for Exceptional Students 3.0 Credits
EDU 421 - Teacher Leadership, Ethics, and Professionalism 3.0 Credits
EDU 430 - Research-Based Instructional Practices 2.0 Credits
