Fire Science Technology: Fire Prevention Code Enforcement Certificate

In conjunction with regional fire departments, CMC also offers professional development certificates in Fire Academy II , Fire Department Company Officer , Fire Investigation , and Driver Operator . Consult with the Fire Science Program Coordinator, Zak Miller (928) 951-0669, zsmiller@coloradomtn.edu, for information about when and at which location these certificates will be offered.

These certificate programs are intended to advance fire fighters in their careers in the fire service. Students must demonstrate acceptable proficiency levels in composition and reading as prerequisites for courses within this certificate. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. For more details, please see the Academic Placement and Testing  section.

Graduates of these programs will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency.

For federal student aid purposes, this program is defined as 17 credit hours, 30 weeks of instruction and is financial aid eligible.
