◆ MAT 121 - College Algebra (GT-MA1)4.0 Credits Prerequisites: Accuplacer Elementary Algebra (EA) score of 85 or higher; or Next Generation Accuplacer Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF) scores 245+; or equivalent ACT/SAT scores; or passed MAT 055 or MAT-099 with a C- or better. The college may also use previous academic history, including high school information, for placement. Focuses on a variety of functions and the exploration of their graphs. Topics include: equations and inequalities, operations on functions, exponential and logarithmic functions, linear and non-linear systems, and an introduction to conic sections. This course provides essential skills for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) pathways. This is a statewide Guaranteed Transfer course in the GT-MA1 category. Prev.
