Energy Technology: Energy Efficient Facilities Certificate

This certificate is designed for students interested in, or already working in, the field of commercial building management. Students will learn how to audit a building and some of the energy efficiency and alternative energy solutions that are available in order to save money and increase return on investment. This field is increasing as businesses look for monetary savings and respond to the pressures of climate change and energy security in the United States and around the world.
Students must demonstrate acceptable proficiency in reading, writing, and mathematics as prerequisites for courses in this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. The Energy Efficient Facilities certificate is offered at West Garfield Campus- Rifle. Some courses may be available as hybrid.
This certificate program is not eligible for federal student aid funds.
