Process Technology (AAS)


Picture of Process Technology (AAS) instruction at CMC.This program is designed to prepare students for entry-level employment as process technicians. A process technician is a key member of a team of people responsible for planning, analyzing and controlling the production of products from the  acquisition of raw materials through the production and distribution of products to customers in a variety of process industries. These industries include, but are not limited to: chemical, food and beverage, gas and oil exploration and production, pharmaceuticals, power generation, pulp and paper, refining and wastewater treatment.

Students must demonstrate college-level proficiency in reading, writing and mathematics as prerequisites for courses in this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. Integrated Energy


These programs bring together skill sets that prepare students for entry-level employment in the rapidly growing field of energy, including non-renewable areas related to oil and gas production, renewable energy, and sustainability.  Additionally, students already employed in energy or related fields can receive additional skills for career advancement.  Students learn in an interactive, hands-on lab setting focusing on natural gas and petroleum production, developing alternative energy solutions, and renewable energy technologies.
