Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

The Associate of Arts degree is designed as a pathway to earning a baccalaureate degree either at CMC or another four-year college or university. All general education courses are intended to transfer; elective courses may be accepted on a course-by-course basis. It’s important to work with an advisor to develop an appropriate pathway through the curriculum. Students wishing to choose an emphasis pathway are strongly encouraged to work with a CMC advisor to follow the provided course maps, as those course maps differ slightly from the general AA degree outlined below.

Students must demonstrate college-level proficiency in composition, reading, and mathematics as prerequisites for courses within this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. For more details, see the Academic Placement Methods and Placement Test Options  section.

Graduates of the program will receive an Associate of Arts degree. This Associate of Arts program is available at Colorado Mountain College in Aspen, Breckenridge, Carbondale, Dillon, Glenwood Springs, Leadville, Rifle, Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, and Vail Valley at Edwards. Not every course is offered on every campus, some campuses may require travel between sites or technology-enhanced modalities to complete the degree. For additional program location & modality information, please see Academic Programs at Colorado Mountain College.
