Web Technology Certificate

The Web Technology certificate is offered at Colorado Mountain College at Spring Valley, near Glenwood Springs. Some of the courses are only offered online. This program will also be offered collegewide at all CMC locations; however, not all courses will be offered in a live mode at all campuses, some courses may require technology enhanced modalities to complete the certificate, and this program will not be fully available through online learning. Please contact a campus counselor or academic advisor at the preferred campus for more information.

This certificate program focuses on the technology of web production. Skills development areas include Hyper-Text Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), WYSIWYG web tools and social networking web tools.

This certificate curriculum includes many of the courses included in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Graphic Design  and credits may be applied toward that degree. CMC also offers a certificate in Graphic Technology .

Students must demonstrate college-level proficiency in composition and reading as prerequisites for courses within this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which you can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. Multimedia Graphic Design (MGD) courses must be completed with a grade of “C” or better to move to the next course in sequence or to satisfy graduation requirements. For more details, see the Academic Placement and Testing  section.

Graduates of this program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Web Technology.

Please see your advisor for a recommended sequence of courses.
