Picture of students earning their Environmental Science Emphasis (AS) degree at CMC.This program will prepare students to transfer into a four-year Environmental Science program or, based on electives selected, transfer to an environmentally-related program such as Geology, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Health.  At CMC this program is a primary pathway to the Bachelor of Arts in Sustainability Studies  degree.

The Associate of Science in Environmental Science is available at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge, Dillon, Edwards, Leadville, Rifle, Glenwood Springs- Spring Valley, and Steamboat Springs.   •     Science and Mathematics Advised Electives  26.0 credits
        Any 100-299 guaranteed transfer (◆) or general transfer (✽) course from prefixes:
        AST, BIO, CHE, ENV, GEO, GEY, MAT, MET, PHY , or NRE 251 .
        CIS 118  may be used as an elective if required, see below.

Students are strongly encouraged to work with their advisor to satisfy transfer requirements for specific four-year institutions.

As an example, students should select a minimum of 26 credits from at least 2 different content areas depending on interests.
