Environmental Science Emphasis (AS)

This program will prepare students to transfer into a four-year Environmental Science program or, based on electives selected, transfer to an environmentally-related program such as Geology, Environmental Engineering, and Environmental Health.

State Guaranteed General Education Requirements


(31 credits minimum across 5 content areas, plus 3 credits of COM required)

Mathematics (GT-MA1)


1 course (3-5 credits) Credits over 3 will be added to electives.

Arts & Humanities


2 courses (6 credit hours)

Social & Behavioral Sciences


2 courses (6 credit hours). Select 2 courses, 1 of which must be History.

Note:


If necessary to reach a minimum of 15 credits in Arts and Humanities, History, or Social and Behaviorial Sciences, select 1 additional course (minimum 3 credits) from these categories.

Environmental Science Program Requirements (GT-SC1)

Colorado Mountain College Requirements


Colorado Mountain College requires its graduates to be proficient in computer use. To graduate, a student must demonstrate proficiency via an examination administered by the college or take CIS 118 . If you take the course, it will be applied to the elective credit.

Electives


You must complete an additional 24 credits in any of the Science or Mathematics disciplines (AST, BIO, CHE, ENV, GEY, HIS 207 , MAT, MET, NRE 251  & NRE 252 , PHY) numbered 100-299, marked with a lock or general transfer marked with an asterisk (*) in the Course Description section, CIS 118  may be used if required. Students are strongly encouraged to work with their advisor in order to satisfy transfer requirements to specific four-year institutions.

As an example, students should select a minimum of 24 credits from at least 2 different content areas depending on interests.
