◆ SOC 237 - Sociology of Death & Dying (GT-SS3)3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Requires college-level composition and reading. Provides an opportunity to familiarize students and professionals with the needs and issues surrounding dying and death. This course will provide sociological, psychological, religious, historical, and anthropological perspectives for interpreting contemporary American customs dealing with dying, death, and bereavement. We will examine the professions associated with death and dying, such as hospice, funeral and crematory institutions, and medical care. LEC 45 Clock hours
