◆ MAT 120 - Mathematics for the Liberal Arts (GT-MA1)4.0 Credits Prerequisites: Accuplacer Elementary Algebra (EA) score of 61 or higher; or Next Generation Accuplacer Quantitative Algebra and Statistics (QAS) scores 240-300; or passed MAT 050 , MAT 055 , or MAT-099 with a C- or better. Highlights connections between mathematics and the society in which we live and is intended for liberal arts majors. Topics include set theory and logic, mathematical modeling, probability and statistical methods, and consumer mathematics.
The Colorado Commission on Higher Education has approved MAT 120 for inclusion in the Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways program in the GT-MA1 category. For transferring students, successful completion with a minimum C- grade guarantees transfer and application of credit in this GT Pathways category.
