◆ SOC 205 - Sociology of Family Dynamics (GT-SS3)3.0 Credits
Prerequisites: SOC 101 , with a grade of C- or higher; and Accuplacer Sentence Skills (SS) score of 95 or higher and Reading Comprehension (RC) score of 80 or higher; or equivalent ACT/SAT scores; or passed CCR 092 , CCR 093 , CCR 094 , or ENG-090 with a grade of C- or better.
Develops an understanding of marriage, family and kinship. It examines the family as an institution and how social, cultural, and personal factors influence family relations. The stability and diversity of the family will be explored, along with current trends and some alternative life styles.
