NUR 221 - Clinical VI: Complex Obstetric & Pediatric Clinical Experience2.0 Credits Co-requisites NUR 220 Integration of nursing theory and critical thinking skills necessary for safe, quality patient/child/family-centered nursing care during the reproductive experience focusing on complications and abnormal conditions and their effects. Focuses on care that is developmentally and culturally appropriate. Integration of standards of practice, and legal and ethical responsibilities of the roles of the professional nurse. Integrates the nursing process, communication theory, critical thinking, evidence-based nursing practice, information technology, and collaboration with members of the interprofessional healthcare team. Students integrate the principles of teaching/learning into the care of the pregnant patient, child, and family. Anayzes patient situations for the purpose of improving patient outcomes.
