NUR 141 - Basic Concepts of Medical-Surgical Nursing3.0 Credits
Acquisition of knowledge, critical-thinking skills, and the nursing process necessary for safe, quality, patient-centered, evidence-based nursing care to diverse populations of adult patients experiencing common medical/surgical interventions. Includes the standards of practice, and legal and ethical responsibilities of the roles of the nurse as applied in the acute care setting. Emphasizes the nurse’s role in interprofessional collaboration and culturally-competent care.
