Radiologic Technology (AAS)


The Radiographic Technology program consists of lectures, laboratory, and clinical experiences. All didactic courses in the program are taught either in person, online or have online components. Students gain clinical experience by rotating through one or more clinical outreach sites located in the following surrounding counties:

  • Eagle County
  • Garfield County
  • Lake County
  • Pitkin County
  • Routt County
  • Summit County

The program is 21 months in length, starting in August, and ending in May. The didactic component is composed of approximately 66 semester hours and complies with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists curriculum.

Students must successfully complete each course within the radiography curriculum to be considered for the Associates of Applied Science. All required didactic and clinical courses must be completed with a minimum letter grade of C- or better.

The Radiologic Technology program is offered at Colorado Mountain College in Vail Valley at Edwards.

The Radiologic Technology AAS program at Colorado Mountain College is a recognized education program with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). Colorado Mountain college is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission.
