Restaurant Management Certificate

The Restaurant Management Certificate focuses on front-of-house operations, service leadership, and the systems that shape guest experience and organizational performance. Students develop practical management competency through an emphasis on leadership, communication, professionalism, and modern hospitality practices. This certificate is typically earned as part of the Restaurant & Culinary Management (AAS)  degree pathway and supports progression into broader supervisory and management roles, but can also be earned individually.

Students must demonstrate college-level composition, reading, and mathematical skills as prerequisites for some courses within program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students enroll and may extend the time required to complete the program. For more details, see the Academic Placement Methods and Placement Test Options  section.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Restaurant Management. This program is offered at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. Not every course is offered in person, some courses may require technology enhanced modalities to complete the certificate. For additional program location & modality information, please see Academic Programs at Colorado Mountain College.

CMC also offers a certificate in Culinary Management Certificate  within the Restaurant and Culinary Management Program.

For federal student aid purposes, this program meets the minimum requirements of 23 credit hours and 30 weeks of instruction and is financial aid eligible.
