Restaurant & Culinary Management (AAS)

Return to {$returnto_text} Return to: Programs of Study

The Restaurant and Culinary Management degree emphasizes fundamental, transferable competency across culinary operations, service leadership, and business systems. Students develop the ability to think critically, lead effectively, and exercise sound professional judgment by studying food science, management, logistics, modern hospitality, and communication as integrated disciplines rather than isolated skills. The program prepares graduates to adapt and thrive across a wide range of hospitality environments.

Students must demonstrate college-level composition, reading, and mathematical skills as prerequisites for some courses within this program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students enroll and may extend the time required to complete the program. For more details see the Academic Placement Methods and Placement Test Options  section.

Graduates of the program earn an Associates of Applied Science in Restaurant and Culinary Management. The AAS degree in Restaurant and Culinary Management is offered at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs. Not every course is offered at every campus. Some courses may require technology enhanced modalities to complete the degree.

This program has a fee that may be non-refundable. Please see the registration staff for more information.
