Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. The Bachelor of Science degree program in Business Administration (BSBA) is a unique, dynamic 21st century business program incorporating practical education, Western Colorado workplace training and sustainability of business. The following information is for new BSBA degree candidate students coming to CMC for the first time:
- Colorado students with an Associate of Arts, Business emphasis in hand will be fully considered for admission into the BSBA program per the statewide articulation agreement as detailed here: Associate of Arts, Business ;
- Colorado students with completed courses in any discipline which meet the State Guaranteed Transfer Course designation (courses with a ◆ symbol), and earned a C- or better will receive transfer credits but may need to complete additional associate degree level coursework as detailed in the BSBA Program Guide;
- Out-of-state students with completed associate degree level coursework will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis;
- All students with completed junior or senior level business coursework may have individual business courses transfer and count toward the graduation requirements for CMC’s BSBA degree, evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
All BSBA degree candidates should review the BSBA degree requirements in the BSBA Advising Guide . CMC’s BSBA program also offers concentrations in Accounting, Finance, Management, Marketing, and Sustainable Business. CMC also offers a minor in Data Analytics . Please contact a campus counselor or academic advisor at the preferred campus for more information.
The Bachelor of Science in Business Administration program is available at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge, Rifle, Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, and Online. Complete 2 courses (6 Credits) from the following: - A GT Pathways-approved CO1 course (GT-CO1 ) and a GT Pathways-approved CO2 course (GT-CO2 )

Students may declare a concentration or minor as part of the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and complete the coursework requirements for one of the concentrations or minor shown below. For concentrations in Finance, Management, Marketing and Sustainable Business, coursework successfully completed will fulfill the upper-division business electives required to complete the BSBA degree. For the concentration in Accounting (33 credits), course work successfully completed for the BS Business Administration with an Accounting concentration will waive the need for other open electives. Students who do not wish to pursue a concentration may complete 18 credits from among the courses listed within the concentrations or minor below, as well as courses listed under Additional Elective Options, below. Accounting Concentration (33 credits)
The Accounting concentration is designed specifically to meet the education requirements to sit for the CPA exam in Colorado and to become a licensed CPA through the Business Analysis and Reporting (BAR) track. An accounting concentration prepares students to be fluent in the language of business, preparing them for positions in accounting, finance, and management. Students who intend to qualify to take the CPA exam in Colorado as a BSBA degree-seeking student who register for any ACC course should only choose among courses offered in this concentration. 15 credits with Concentration or Data Analytics Minor, 12 credits without Concentration/Minor - Advised Electives 12.0 - 15.0 credits
PLEASE NOTE: Students are encouraged to take other courses which may lead to employment in a business-related field. Electives may include any course numbered 1000-4999 from guaranteed transfer, general transfer, or career & technical education program courses. PED courses numbered 1000-2049 or PED 2075 , are not allowed. It is highly recommended that students seek academic advising to support their degree planning. This requirement is completely waived if the accounting concentration is declared. Total Credits Earned
