Education: Secondary Education Alternative Certification


An alternative teaching certification pathway for individuals who already have a bachelor’s degree in a specific content area.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency: Secondary Education Alternative Certification.

The certification is offered at all Colorado Mountain College locations; however, not all courses are offered on every campus, some courses may require technology enabled modalities (web conference, hybrid, online). For additional program location & modality information, please see Academic Programs at Colorado Mountain College.

For federal student aid purposes, this program is defineda as 26 credits and 42 weeks of instruction and is financial aid eligible.
