Spanish Proficiency Certificates

The Spanish Language Certificates can be used to enhance resumes and provide documentation of Spanish language studies in composition, reading, and oral skills. Students may choose one of two tracks: Academic Spanish Language Certification or Conversational Spanish Language. Courses are offered in different modalities.

Students who complete these certificates will earn a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Academic Spanish Language Certification and/or Conversational Spanish Language.

These certificates are offered at Colorado Mountain College in Vail Valley at Edwards. Option I: Academic Spanish Language Certificate


This sequence of courses gives students conversational Spanish skills necessary for work and life plus reading and writing skills necessary for translation and working with Spanish texts. The courses in this track also fulfill the requirements for the AA in Spanish. These courses can be applied to a Spanish major at any Colorado institution that offers a major in Spanish.
