This HVAC Advanced Certificate is the second of two Certificates of Occupational Proficiency in HVAC: Basic and Advanced. The HVAC Advanced certificate will prepare students for a career in the HVAC service industry. Students must obtain the HVAC Basic Certificate as a prerequisite.
Areas of instruction for the Advanced Certificate are fasteners, hardware and wiring, steam systems, water treatment, energy conservation equipment, system design, construction drawings and specifications and more.
Students will be able to earn mobile digital badging of HVAC Level III and HVAC Level IV from the National Center for Construction Education & Research (NCCER) after completion of each level in the program. Upon completion of the program, students will earn a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency from Colorado Mountain College in advanced HVAC.
This certificate program is available at Colorado Mountain College in Vail Valley at Edwards, Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs, and Rifle, for Concurrent Enrollment Program Act (CEPA) students only.
