Leadership & Management (BAS)

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) degree in Leadership and Management prepares individuals as managerial and supervisory personnel in a variety of professions. The BAS offers a seamless transition from an Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree to a bachelor’s degree.

Students build on their technical specialties and general education courses, combining them with upper division course work to acquire management, supervision, and leadership skills.

All courses taken to complete an AAS at Colorado Mountain College will apply to the BAS program.

Students who have completed an Associate of Applied Science program at another institution are eligible to continue into the BAS program at CMC. Transfer students will have their coursework evaluated on a course-by-course basis. CMC accepts coursework with a C- or better. If not all courses from a students AAS transfer due to this grade minimum additional courses may be needed to complete the BAS degree.

AAS specific courses may be transferred in bulk, where general education courses will be evaluated individually. Upper division business, management and marketing courses completed at another institution may apply to the program requirements for CMC’s BAS degree and will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.

Please work with a CMC advisor on course selection to fulfill degree requirements in order to move seamlessly from the AAS into the BAS program and refer to the BAS Advising Guide.

The Bachelor of Applied Science degree is available at all Colorado Mountain College locations. However, not all courses are offered in a live mode at all campuses. This program is not fully available through online learning. For additional program location & modality information, please see Academic Programs at Colorado Mountain College.
