Colorado Mountain College’s certificate program includes the required courses to prepare students to take the state broker’s examination and to apply for the state broker’s license.
The Colorado Real Estate Commission currently requires 168 hours of course work to be completed prior to taking the state broker’s examination and applying for your license. Students must demonstrate college-level reading before entering this program. For more details see the Academic Placement Methods and Placement Test Options section.
Students must earn a “C” or better in the two Real Estate courses (REE 2001 and REE 2002 ) to receive a Certificate of Eligibility to take the Colorado Real Estate Licensing Examination and receive a REC 33 to apply for a Colorado Broker’s license. In addition, students must earn a “C” or better in both courses to receive a Colorado Mountain College Certificate of Occupational Proficiency.
The Real Estate Certificate is offered at all Colorado Mountain College locations. Not all courses are offered on every campus, some campuses may require travel between sites or technology enhanced modalities to complete the certificate. REE 2001 is a fully on-line web course; REE 2002 is offered as a hybrid course which includes online and face-to-face content. Please see the course schedule for details.
This certificate program is not eligible for federal student aid funds.
