This certificate provides students an opportunity to gain the skills necessary to find entry-level employment in the action sports industry. Action-sports related careers include retailing, manufacturing, marketing, and sales.
The certificate includes courses included in the Associate of Applied Science of Ski and Snowboard Business and courses may be applied toward that degree. Additionally, the bachelor’s degree-seeking student can obtain a Bachelor of Applied Science from Colorado Mountain College.
Students must demonstrate acceptable proficiency levels in composition, reading, and mathematics as prerequisites for courses within the degree program. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence in which you can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Action Sports.
An advisor will help students develop a schedule that meets their needs.
The Action Sports Certificate is offered at Colorado Mountain College in Steamboat Springs.
This certificate program is not eligible for federal student aid funds.
