SUS 489 - Sustainability Capstone4.0 Credits Prerequisites: Requires college-level reading. This course is intended to provide a capstone experience for the student. It is an opportunity for the student to understand his/her metacognitive growth over time within the discipline by elevating competencies and empowering student accomplishments. It is purposefully designed to be reflective of the student’s overall collegiate experience; implementing the BASS program’s primary mode of inquiry, the 3E’s, into a series of culminating scholarly works including portfolio development and qualitative and quantitative research. Through a balance of theory and practice, students will weave together interdisciplinary thought, demonstrating that they have achieved the learning objectives from the major. The student will embody a broad mastery of learning across the curriculum, while building on professional skills and honing significant proficiences consistent with the discipline of sustainability. Through a seminar approach, the student will further cultivate the ability to problem-solve with a focused, holistic approach. This course is to be taken during the student’s last semester of coursework. LEC 60
