   CHE 4121 - Lab - Biochemistry I

Co-requisites CHE 4111  must be taken concurrently.
Prerequisites: Prior completion of CHE 1112  and BIO 1111  with a grade of C- or higher.
Complements the Biochemistry I lecture, offering hands-on experience with fundamental biochemical techniques. Students will explore experimental approaches such as protein purification, enzymatic assays, site-directed mutagenesis, and DNA manipulation. Emphasis is placed on hypothesis-driven research; data analysis; and scientific communication, including maintaining detailed lab notebooks and delivering oral presentations. This course reinforces theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students for advanced biochemistry research and professional practice.
