CHE 4121 - Lab - Biochemistry I1.0 Credits Co-requisites CHE 4111 must be taken concurrently. Prerequisites: Prior completion of CHE 1112 and BIO 1111 with a grade of C- or higher. Complements the Biochemistry I lecture, offering hands-on experience with fundamental biochemical techniques. Students will explore experimental approaches such as protein purification, enzymatic assays, site-directed mutagenesis, and DNA manipulation. Emphasis is placed on hypothesis-driven research; data analysis; and scientific communication, including maintaining detailed lab notebooks and delivering oral presentations. This course reinforces theoretical knowledge with practical applications, preparing students for advanced biochemistry research and professional practice. LAB 30 Contact hours
