PSY 4550 - Wilderness & Personal Exploration3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Prior completion of HMS 2101 and any one (1) GT-SS3 PSY prefix course with a grade of C- or higher. Blending theoretical understanding with experiential learning, this class offers a deep exploration of the psychological dimensions of interpersonal human interaction as well as human connection with the natural world. Through immersive wilderness expeditions and classroom content, the course delves into the intricate relationship between individuals and their environment, providing insights into the profound impacts of wilderness experiences on mental health, psychological well-being, environmental stewardship, and personal growth.
