NUR 435 - Guided Research3.0 Credits Prerequisites: NUR 430 with a grade of C or higher. Applies concepts relating to nursing research and evidence-based practice. Building on the concepts and principles of research and evidence-based practice, students develop a plan of inquiry for a specific topic utilizing quantitative and/or qualitative methods. Students will learn how to devise a plan that defines a problem, incorporate a literature review, develop a research question, choose how the sample will be defined and the setting for the inquiry, determine the measurement and how the data is collected, determine if an IRB approval is required for the project, outline how the data would be analyzed, interpreted, and how findings would be reported. This course moves the student from understanding research concepts to applying research concepts. LEC 45 Contact hours
