                  ◆ PHI 220 - Philosophy of Death & Dying (GT-AH3)3.0 Credits   Prerequisites: Requires college-level composition and reading placement.  This course explores the major philosophical questions surrounding death and dying: the metaphysical arguments for and against the existence of a soul and life after bodily death, the epistemological assessment of arguments for the soul and life after death, the ethical justifications taken on positions such as rational suicide and physician-assisted suicide, as well as a focus on philosophy’s existentialist contribution to questions about the meaning of life and the meaning of death.
