◆ MAT 166 - Pre-Calculus (GT-MA1)

5.0 Credits


Prerequisites: MAT 121  with a grade of C- or higher; or Accuplacer Elementary Algebra (EA) scores 108+ and College-level Math scores 63+; or Next Generation Accuplacer Advanced Algebra and Functions (AAF) scores 280-300.
Extends algebraic concepts and explores the subject of trigonometry. Topics include: polynomial, rational, logarithmic, and exponential functions, trigonometric and inverse trigonometric functions and their graphs, trigonometric identities, and applications. This course provides essential skills for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) pathways.

The Colorado Commission on Higher Education has approved MAT 166 for inclusion in the Guaranteed Transfer (GT) Pathways program in the GT-MA1 category. For transferring students, successful completion with a minimum C- grade guarantees transfer and application of credit in this GT Pathways category.
