◆ HIS 243 - History of Modern China (GT-HI1)3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Accuplacer Sentence Skills (SS) score of 95 or higher and Reading Comprehension (RC) score of 80 or higher; or Next Generation Accuplacer Writing scores 246-300; or equivalent ACT/SAT scores; or passed CCR 092 , CCR 093 , CCR 094 , or ENG-090 with a grade of C- or better. This course traces the political, ideological, economic, religious, social, and cultural developments of modern China from the Qing dynasty through the political and economic revolutions of the 20th century.
