◆ ANT 107 - Introduction to Archaeology (GT-SS3)3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Accuplacer Sentence Skills (SS) score of 95 or higher and Reading Comprehension (RC) score of 80 or higher; or Next Generation Accuplacer Writing scores 246-300; or equivalent ACT/SAT scores; or passed CCR 092 , CCR 093 , CCR 094 , or ENG-090 with a grade of C- or better. Introduces the science of recovering the human prehistoric and historic past through excavation, analysis, and interpretation of material remains. Includes a survey of the archaeology of different areas of the Old and New Worlds. Also includes the works of selected archaeologists and discussions of major archaeological theories. Prev.
