Education: Secondary Education Alternative Certification

An alternative teaching certification pathway for individuals who already have a bachelor degree in a specific content area.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency: Secondary Education Alternative Certification.

The certification is offered at all Colorado Mountain College locations; however, not all courses are offered on every campus, some courses may require technology enabled modalities (web conference, hybrid, online).

EDU 3330 - Framework for Planning Instruction and Assessment 3.0 Credits
EDU 3381 - Adapting Instruction and Assessment for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CLD) Learners 3.0 Credits
EDU 4405 - Creating an Engaging and Relational Classroom Environment 3.0 Credits
EDU 4410 - Intervention and Inclusion: Differentiation for Exceptional Students 3.0 Credits
EDU 4421 - Teacher Leadership, Ethics, and Professionalism 3.0 Credits
EDU 4430 - Research-Based Instructional Practices 2.0 Credits
