EMT: Rope Rescue Technician Certificate


This certificate will train students in the technical skills of wilderness rope rescue. The certificate will provide students will the skill set needed to work as a rope technician in a mountain, wilderness, or high angle environment. The depth and breadth of the curriculum in this 67.5 hour certification goes beyond what is typically taught in a level 1 or 2 rope rescue course. Students who seek jobs as search & rescue technicians, climbing guides, park rangers, rope rescue instructors, and special operations will be able to provide employers with the necessary rope rescue certification needed to gain employment.

Graduates of the program will receive a Certificate of Occupational Proficiency in Rope Rescue Technician.

This certificate is offered at the Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge.

CMC also offers certificates in EMT Basic , Advanced EMT , EMT Paramedic , Wilderness EMT , Wilderness Medical Professional  as well as an Associate of Applied Science degree in EMT Paramedic .

This certificate program is not eligible for federal student aid funds.
