This certificate introduces multi-use, multitasking network operating systems. This program focuses on the characteristics of the MS Server environment and explores a variety of topics including installation procedures, security issues, back-up procedures, and remote access.
The program prepares students for the CompTIA Server+ certification, which is recognized by the IT industry to prove competency in server support. CompTIA Server+ is an international, vendor-neutral certification for technical support professionals. CompTIA Server+ certifies the technical knowledge and skills required to build, maintain, troubleshoot, and support server hardware and software technologies. The exam covers virtualization, disaster recovery, and security procedures.
This program is available at Colorado Mountain College locations in Aspen, Breckenridge, Carbondale, Dillon, Glenwood Springs, Leadville, Rifle, Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs, Steamboat Springs, and Vail Valley at Edwards; however, not all courses are offered in a live mode at all campuses.
