Fire Science Technology: Fire Academy II Certificate

In conjunction with regional fire departments, CMC offers professional development certificates in Fire Academy I , Fire Department Company Officer , and Driver Operator . Consult with the Fire Science Program Coordinator, Zak Miller (928) 951-0669, zsmiller@coloradomtn.edu, for information about when and at which location these certificates will be offered.

These certificate programs are intended to advance fire fighters in their careers in the fire service. Students must demonstrate acceptable proficiency levels in composition and reading as prerequisites for courses within this certificate. Skills in these areas may affect the sequence of courses in which students can enroll and may also extend the time required to complete this program. For more details, please see the Academic Placement and Testing  section.

Graduates of these programs will receive Certificates of Occupational Proficiency.
