MAN 4027 - Project Management3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Prior completion of MAN 3028 with a grade of C- or higher. This course introduces the fundamental concepts of project management based on the global standards of the Project Management Institute (PMI). It examines the initiation, planning, monitoring and controlling, and closing of projects. Core topics include the role of the project manager, the project environment, and project value and benefits analysis. It also introduces the 10 knowledge areas of project management, including: scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, risk management, procurement, stakeholders, communication, and the integration of these subsidiary areas. This course explores both traditional and agile approaches to project management, and examines the factors that influence project selection, including enterprise and environmental factors, the level of uncertainty and change, the project industry and the project scope.
