CSL 4200 - Groups & Family Dynamics3.0 Credits Prerequisites: PSY 1001 and PSY 1002 with a grade of C- or higher; and junior status. Prepares students for the roles, responsibilities and relationships essential to functional families and to understand the nature, function, and significance of human relationships within family and group structures. This course focuses on the communication behavior of individuals within group and family structures. Didactic and experiential techniques are used to explore the stages of group development, decision-making techniques, group problems and problem solving, resolution skills, norms, structures, leadership, authority, membership, ethics, cultural sensitivity, and intra-and inter-personal dynamics within groups and family systems.
