PSY 4700 - Clinical Psychology3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Prior completion of PSY 4150 with a grade of C- or higher Focuses on diagnosing and treating mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders. This course provides students with basic skills required for competent practice of cognitive and behavioral therapies. Topics include cognitive restructuring, contingency management, exposure-based procedures, conceptualization of clients, assessment, intervention techniques for behavior change, research methods, ethical issues, and an overview of clinical roles theory and research; function and dilemmas of clinical psychologists.
