WEL 1042 - Basic Multi-Process Welding4.0 Credits Prerequisites: Prior completion of WEL 1041 with a grade of C- or higher. Covers welding in the 2F and 2G positions on various joint configurations using the SMAW (stick), GMAW (mig), GTAW (tig), and the FCAW (flux core) welding process on carbon steel, adjusting parameters and operating equipment utilizing the various filler materials for each process. Layout procedures, Safety, Blueprint reading skills and weld symbol identification will be practiced during this course. This course has a fee that may be non-refundable.
