SAO 1064 - Snow Weather and Avalanche Observations I2.0 Credits Prerequisites: SAO 1062 with a grade of C- or higher; or instructor/advisor permission. Develops student skills in making and recording standard field measurements of snow, weather, and avalanches. Includes exposure to industry standard field measurement tools, techniques, processes and how to evaluate quality of data collected. Focus: field and remote observations of periodic snow, weather, and avalanche observations; recording data to industry standards; interpretation of data; safe travel in and around avalanche terrain, selection of safe and relevant observation sites.
