EDU 3321 - How People Learn: Learning, Teaching, and the Human Brain3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Requires Stage Two eligibility in the Teacher Education Program. Introduces the multidisciplinary field of mind, brain, and education. This course provides an orientation to basic brain anatomy and physiology, and examines implications of brain science for learning and teaching. It builds understanding of how the brain learns that is scientifically accurate and educationally relevant. It provides opportunities for school-based observations and experiences designed to build a conceptual foundation for effective teaching in 21st-century schools.
