   MAT 0250 - Quantitative Literacy

Co-requisites AAA 0095  must be taken concurrently for students with Next Generation Accuplacer Arithmetic (AR) scores 240-254.
Prerequisites: Accuplacer Elementary Algebra (EA) score 30-84 or Arithmetic (AR) score 40 or higher; or Next Generation Accuplacer Arithmetic (AR) score 240-254. Next Generation Accuplacer Arithmetic (AR) score 255+ can waive the AAA 0095  co-requisite. The college may also use previous academic history, including high school information, for placement.
Develops number sense and critical thinking strategies, introduces algebraic thinking, and connects mathematics to real-world applications.  Topics in the course include ratios, proportions, percents, measurement, linear relationships, properties of exponents, polynomials, factoring, and math learning strategies. This course prepares students for Math for Liberal Arts, Statistics, Integrated Math, and college-level career math courses.
