✽ OUT 2330 - River Orientation II2.0 Credits Prerequisites: OUT 1330 or OUT 1365 minimum grade C- or higher; or instructor permission. Minimum age 17. This course provides advanced-level experience in whitewater raft handling and water reading skills through direct experiences on selected rivers. Students will learn advanced rafting techniques, river trip planning, advanced river safety procedures, equipment, logistics, camp management, hazard evaluation, minimum impact techniques, and the natural history of river environments. Added emphasis will be placed on approaching material from the professional river guide’s perspective. Minimum age 17. Prev. Course Codes: OUT-218 LAB 60 Contact hours
