SKB 1024 - Introduction to Ski Guiding3.0 Credits Introduces the basic skill-set required to work as a backcountry ski/snowboard guide. Guiding techniques for touring facilities (hotel or hut), snow cat operations, and heli-skiing operations, as well as discussions on how best to educate and instruct clients, will be covered. Best practices in snowsport guiding, regulations, and certifications will be discussed. Emphasis is placed on the awareness, prevention, and management of risk in a backcountry setting with clients.
