✽ JOU 1021 - Photojournalism3.0 Credits
Prerequisites: Prior completion of PHO 1020 or PHO 1021 , with a grade of C- or higher; and Next Generation Accuplacer Writing scores 246-300; or equivalent ACT score 18 or SAT score 470; or passed any CCR course, ENG 0092 , or 1000-level ENG course with a grade of C- or higher. The college may also use previous academic history, including high school information, for placement.
Provides an introductory, hands-on course in black-and-white photography, with an emphasis on photojournalistic techniques, processing, and printing. This course includes an investigation of word/picture relationships in creating photo essays for publications.
