◆ AST 150 - Astrobiology: Life in the Universe (GT-SC2)3.0 Credits Prerequisites: Requires college-level composition and reading placement. Introduces the interdisciplinary and scientific nature of the search for life in the universe, also known as astrobiology. Students will address the questions: “How does life begin and evolve?” “Is there life elsewhere in the universe?” Students will examine life on Earth, its origin and evolution. The possibilities of other life in the solar system and throughout the universe will be examined. Students will investigate the current state of exploration and the search for extraterrestrial life.
