Registered nurses (RN’s) work in fast-paced health care environments that demand the ability to quickly analyze information, precisely communicate with other team members, and execute interventions. The BSN program is designed to provide students with knowledge, skills, and strong clinical judgment.

CMC emphasizes early experiential learning through clinical experiences in a variety of healthcare settings. Students gain practical experience working in:

  • Acute care hospitals
  • Ambulatory care settings
  • Clinics, home health
  • Long-term care facilities
  • Physicians’ offices
  • And other healthcare systems

Graduates of this program will receive a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and are eligible to take the National Council Licensing Exam (NCLEX-RN) to obtain their RN licensure.

An admission packet can be obtained by downloading the Nursing Application or by contacting the Assistant Director of Admissions for Nursing. Students must receive a C or better in all required program courses to meet nursing degree requirements. Alternative credit by exam, ex. CLEP testing, does not substitute for any required courses. All courses must have a grade associated with the credit.

The Nursing (BS) is offered at Colorado Mountain College in Breckenridge, Spring Valley at Glenwood Springs, and Steamboat Springs. This program may require technology-enhanced modalities to complete the degree. For additional program location & modality information, please see Academic Programs at Colorado Mountain College.
